New vice president for administration and finance begins at Anoka Tech and Anoka-Ramsey
Donald B. Lewis began his duties this month as vice president for administration and finance at Anoka Technical College and Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
“A visionary financial leader, Don Lewis has administrative and operational acumen in nonprofit, higher education and for-profit sectors,” said President Kent Hanson. “He will work with skilled and knowledgeable people committed to making the best and most efficient use of our resources at the two institutions.”
Previously, Lewis was vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul from 2005 to 2012; director of finance and administration at The House of Hope Presbyterian Church in Saint Paul from 2001 to 2005; director of operations at Science Incorporated in Minneapolis from 1998 to 2001; and general manager at Boucher-Lewis, Inc. in Minneapolis from 1987 to 1997.
“I am excited to be here because these two colleges offer so many excellent programs and already have a strong reputation within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system for effective fiscal management,” said Lewis, who also serves at the colleges’ chief financial officer. “I look forward to working with the staff to continue this tradition of excellence and meet the challenges ahead so students continue to receive the highest quality education for the lowest cost and taxpayers receive the benefit of educated and trained graduates.”
Lewis holds a master of business administration in finance from the University of St. Thomas; a master of divinity in religious education from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, N.J. and a bachelor of arts in philosophy from the University of Minnesota.
