Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs:
Camp "I am the FUTURE"  2017

Advanced Manufacturing Camp

Monday, June 19, 2016 and Tuesday, June 20, 2017
8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
(For students 13-15 years old)

Welding | Laser Marking & Cutting | CAD & 3D Printing | Robotics & Automation | Industry Tour |

The Advanced Manufacturing Camp will introduce students to the manufacturing industry with real "hands-on" projects and an industry tour.  Interested in being a design engineer, machinist or welder? During camp, students will use some of the same equipment those working in the industry utilize to create and manufacturer their own designs.  On the industry tour, students will learn how a design becomes an actual manufactured product.

This is a great introduction to manufacturing and the many highly skilled careers in this industry.  If you want to join the
"Maker Movement" this is the camp for you!

Biomedical Technology Camp

Wednesday, June 21, 2016 and Thursday, June 22, 2017
8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
(For students 13-15 years old)

Learn about Anatomy & Physiology | Lab Dissection | Laser Marker | Sensors & Robotics | Industry Tour |

Biomedical Technology touches lives each day from a simple bandage to a high-tech pacemaker.   Minnesota is known as "Medical Alley" and is home to over 400 FDA regulated medical device companies (OEM's and component manufacturers) and the corporate headquarters of some of the largest medical device manufacturers in the world.  At camp, students will learn how devices are used to treat and diagnose medical conditions. Tour local a medical device manufacturer and see the advanced manufacturing that goes into making medical device components and actual devices.

Students will have a chance to run a laser marking system, learn about sensors & robotics and participate in a lab dissection.  (Students are not required to participate in the lab dissection if they feel uncomfortable.)  Students will also learn about all the exciting career opportunities in the medical device field from Biomedical Engineers who design medical products to Biomedical Equipment Technicians who repair and maintain the life-saving medical equipment.

Cost for Camp:
