Some of the topics covered include basic adjustments, changing oil, clutch adjustment, belt/chain adjustment, brake inspection and adjustment and general bike problem solving. (College policy does not permit instructors to adjust or repair student's bikes.) *Please bring your bike manual and any tools supplied with your bike to class.
Motorcycle Training: Basic Rider
The Basic Rider Course (BRC) is designed with the beginner in mind, but is a challenge even to experienced riders. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) supplies the curriculum and materials, and the instructors are MSF-certified. The course includes both classroom and on-cycle instruction, with high quality, personalized coaching and several hours of practice riding. We also provide the motorcycles, free of charge! Riders 18 and older can earn their motorcycle license by successfully completing the course.
Motorcycle Training: Basic Rider 2 (Skills Practice)
Students use own motorcycles; consists of only riding exercises. It is a perfect way to reinforce basic skills on one's personal motorcycle. Passengers are permitted with a licensed operator on a personal motorcycle. Students earn their motorcycle license endorsement through the course.
To ride safely, a moped rider needs the same mental strategies a motorcyclist needs. This course is a benefit to anyone who wants to ride on two wheels.
