Anoka Technical College Celebrates the Class of 2019

On Thursday, May 16, the Anoka Technical College list of graduates grew by more than 300 students representing 26 different programs.

Graduates and their close circle of supporters gathered to celebrate at Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s Gymnasium where they were greeted by representatives from Anoka Tech’s leadership team, faculty and a representative from the Minnesota State Board of Trustees.

“Graduates, this is an evening to celebrate your accomplishments. But, also take some time to think about those around you who help you get here today,” said Elaina Bleifield, vice president of academic and student affairs.

Acknowledgement of each individual student’s hard work and commitment was paramount throughout each speaker’s remarks.  In his message to students, President Kent Hanson took inspiration from artist Tom Petty and said, “Never back down from your dreams. You can do anything that you want in life.”

The graduates of Anoka Tech are crucial part of Minnesota’s workforce and we are excited to welcome the Class of 2019 to the alumni family. Congratulations graduates!
