Anoka Technical College Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) and Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) programs offer information session Aug. 16

Anoka Technical College Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) and Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) Associate of Applied Science degree programs are collaborating on an information session Thursday, Aug. 16 at 4 pm in Rm 313 to help prospective students and the community better understand what it takes to become an emergency services technician. 

The session is designed to provide answers about the programs and provide career information. Meet program faculty members to learn about elements of the programs such as: robotics, mechatronics, electronic engineering fundamentals, automation/controls, computer servicing/networking and more.

Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) Programs
The Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) program offers a 72-credit Electronic Engineering Technology Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree and a 32-credit Electronic Technology (ET) diploma that prepares students to work with mechatronics, robotics, automation and controls, computer servicing/networking, biomedical equipment. The EET program also offers a 72-credit Special Electronics Technician Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree emphasis program that prepares students in core electronic engineering technology skills, as well as a broad background in computer support and networking

Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) Program
The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) program offers a 72-credit Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree that provides the skills for working in hospitals, manufacturing, and field service plus the possibility to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with co-operating colleges and universities. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify and there are several BMET program specific scholarships available.
