On the heels of its 40th Anniversary, Anoka Technical College (ATC) created a new strategic plan that laid the foundation for a successful future. The strategic plan was a collaborate effort of students, ATC faculty, community leaders, college staff, and numerous advisory boards and committees. After 12 months of brainstorming sessions, online blogs, focus groups and affinity diagramming exercises, the college has a new mission, vision and values that will define the next 40 years.
ATC staff and students spent the first few months of 2008 getting the plan endorsed by the Anoka County Board of Commissioners, Anoka County elected officials, the college Foundation and MnSCU.
Anoka Technical College will spend 2009 implementing initiatives that allow the school to be a vital student and community focused institution, providing the finest career and technical education in Minnesota.
