United Way 211
Anoka Tech and Minnesota State have partnered with United Way 211 to establish a statewide basic needs resource hub. The basic needs resource hub provides Anoka Tech students access to basic needs resources and support available on campus and in the community via phone, text, or chat 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
United Way 211 provides free and confidential health and human services information. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to connect you with the resources and information you need. If you’re looking for information about services available in your community for you or a loved one, they can help.

Crisis Grants for Anoka Technical College Students
Students taking six or more credits who are experiencing a financial crisis that endangers the continuation of their education may qualify for a crisis grant from the college. Crisis Grants may be able to help with expenses like rent and utility bills, car repairs, gas, and bus passes, childcare costs, or groceries.

Crisis Assistance provides emergency pre-approved assistance to Anoka County residents in a non-housing resolvable crisis situation. Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)

Anoka Technical College Food Pantry
Are you looking to save some money on your grocery bill, or do you struggle with food insecurity? Anoka Technical College has a food pantry that everyone on campus is welcome to use.
The food pantry is provided in partnership with nonprofit Hope for the Community. Hope for the Community is supported by Second Harvest Heartland, a local nonprofit hunger-relief organization. Second Harvest Heartland's contributions largely supply the food pantry in addition to campus food drives.
Visit the food pantry for free access to canned goods, pastas, cereal, refrigerated goods, dairy, frozen meats, hygiene products, and more.

SNAP Nutrition Assistance
Do you struggle to pay for food each month? SNAP is a nutrition assistance program that helps with monthly benefits to those that qualify. SNAP eligibility for benefits have been expanded and are available to more college students. You are strongly encouraged to reach out to see if you qualify.

Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County
CAP of Hennepin County has a variety of programs and services designed to help residents of Hennepin County with lower incomes find and maintain safe, stable housing. Renters and future homebuyers can work with HUD-certified housing counselors to develop housing budgets, determine eligibility for financial assistance, help navigate their leasing or home-purchase process, and more. Anoka County’s Coordinated Entry is a HUD initiative to those who may be at-risk of losing their housing, or who are homeless.
