Concurrent Enrollment classes through Anoka Technical College provide students the opportunity to get a jump start on a college education and start gaining knowledge in high-skill, high-demand jobs.
Anoka Tech offers free Concurrent Enrollment courses to eligible students at Anoka-Hennepin School District's Secondary Technical Education Program (STEP).
Who Should Consider Concurrent Enrollment?

- Students who want to earn college credit and save money at the same time.
Student Eligibility
- Class rank in the upper one-third of their class or a score at or above the 70th percentile on a nationally standardized, norm-referenced test.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above OR indicate college readiness by achieving college level Accuplacer scores in the area of reading and sentence skills.
- Class rank in the upper one-half of their class or a score at or above the 50th percentile on a nationally standardized, norm-referenced test.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above OR indicate college readiness by achieving college level Accuplacer scores in the area of reading and sentence skills.
A high school that wishes to have a college or university offer a PSEO concurrent enrollment course to its students, but cannot generate sufficient enrollment to offer that course only to 11th and 12th grade students who meet the eligibility requirements may request approval for an exception from the college president or university to allow 9th and 10th grade students who rank in the upper one-tenth of their class or attain a score at or above the 90th percentile on a nationally standardized, norm-referenced test, or have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
