Placement Charts

Beginning fall 2021, Anoka Technical College is a Course Placement Pilot Project participant, reviewing student records for college-level course prerequisites which can be met through: qualifying standardized test scores from ACCUPLACER (NGA/Classic), ACT, MCA, SAT, a combination of qualifying scores plus a qualifying high school (HS) GPA, a qualifying stand-alone HS GPA and through use of Guided Self-Placement. Students who meet college-level course prerequisites may be exempted from taking portions of ACCUPLACER based on documentation provided. Students who do not meet college-level course prerequisites will be advised to take ACCUPLACER to determine appropriate course placement.

Time Validations

  • ACT, MCA and SAT scores are valid for five years, inclusive of the current calendar year.
  • HS GPA must be within 10 years of graduation date. In absence of official transcript self-reported may be used.
