Graduation ceremonies are important to all higher education institutions because they have inspirational and sentimental value to students completing program and college requirements to obtain a degree. For Anoka Technical College, this occasion is the largest academic function that includes students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and the community.
Included here is all the information you will need for graduation and commencement. Anoka Technical College reserves the right to change commencement information as necessary. Should a change occur, we will notify graduates by email and in a message on the home page of this site. You will also find some helpful information about careers and our job placement office along with financial aid repayment options.

Directions to Anoka-Ramsey Community College
Please arrive no later than 6:15 pm.
Please report to the fieldhouse at Anoka Ramsey Community College no later than 6:15 pm. Signs will identify where graduates in each program should line up. Directions for graduate seating arrangements will be given to you that evening.
Guests of graduates may proceed directly to the seating area.
Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive prior to 7 pm in order to be seated. Doors will remain closed until all graduates, college administration and faculty have processed into the auditorium and are seated.
Free parking is available in the parking lots surrounding the building.

Cap and Gown
Students will purchase their cap and gown from the bookstore starting the first week of November.
Graduates will receive an empty award cover at commencement. The certificate, diploma, or AAS degree will be mailed within four - six weeks after Anoka Tech verifies that the graduate has successfully completed all graduation requirements.
Planning For Graduation
Formal graduation ceremonies are held in the fall and spring only.

Job Placement/Career Services
The Job Placement/Career Services Office at Anoka Technical College assists students and alumni with job searches including, development of cover letters, resumes, interviewing skills and networking necessary to seek internships and employment.

Repaying Financial Aid
Financial Aid is a huge part of most students' success at Anoka Technical College. We want to make sure that you receive adequate information regarding the financial aid that you are required to repay.
