Anoka Technical College programs follow the National DOT curriculum and are approved by the State of Minnesota.

  1. Prepare entry-level EMS providers to be employable upon completion
  2. Provide up-to-date EMS education to all interested parties
  3. Be a sound, responsible partner to stakeholders in the EMS industry
  4. Create pathways of transferability to higher level EMS Education Programs
  5. Manage the finances of the program in a cost-effective, prudent manner

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and are found in many careers across the nation and beyond. The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) hires encompasses all of those that respond to emergencies situations. EMTs are entry level EMS providers capable of performing life-saving interventions within their defined scope of practice.
